Polarization and Magnetization Fields: Towards A “Post-Modern” Theory by Prof. John E. Sipe

We launched the pico-seminar series and our first speaker in the series is a pioneer in the field of theoretical quantum optics - Prof. John Sipe from the University of Toronto.  He discussed the “post-modern” approach that can be used to address the response of crystals to electromagnetic fields varying arbitrarily in space and time and its underlying connections to the topology of the band structure. Seminar recordings can be found on our YouTube Channel.
